Revealing of the pine cone

my final project

In my final project I decided to explore with the pine cone.

he have unique beauty, available and free.

What else can you ask for?

Every pine cone is unique and have random beauty that can not be controlled in 100%,

but I tried to do my best.

​

I spread them and saw that there was a beauty that is not visible when the pine cone is whole.

​

I wanted to reveal it.

​

So I combined them with industrial materials and carried out industrial manipulations such as grinding, Shaving, turning and CNC.

​

By prearranging the cones in a format, designing a three-dimensional file I could control the outcome of what came out of the CNC.

​

I demonstrated the technique on three objects: two stools and a coffee table.

​

But the options are endless ...
